Know Jesus as Lord

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?  You can.  Please continue reading on this page to learn how you can have a relationship with Him and know the most wonderful joy you have ever known.

John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God".  That means that none of us are perfect, we are all sinners by nature and by choice.

The Bible also says in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  That means that due to our sin we deserve death and hell.  Sin separates us from God but God sent His Son Jesus to die for my sins and yours so that we don't have to be separated from Him.  This gift is free all we have to do is ask for it.

John 14:6 says "I (Jesus) am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by me."  There is nothing you can do to have salvation except ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you.  It is nothing we do it is what Christ did when He died on that cross and was raised to life again on the third day.

The Bible says in Romans 5:8 "But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  That means that even though we do things that are displeasing to God everyday, He still sent His only Son, Jesus to die for us.

The Bible says in Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  That means that if you pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you for your sins that you will no longer be separated from Him and repent, that means you will make a change in the things that you do.  That you will no longer live to please yourself but to please Him.  He will come and live in your heart and never leave you!

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  That means that when you ask Jesus to come into your heart believing that Jesus is God's Son; that He died; was buried; and in three days was raised from the dead you will tell others about His love and the change that He has made in your life.  You will surrender to Him as Lord of your life which means that you will give Jesus complete control of your life.

Ephesians 2:8 says "By grace you are saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."  This means you can't be good enough to earn salvation, you can't clean up enough to come to Him, you just have to come as you are and He can save you!  Faith is not just believing facts about Jesus, it is trusting in Him.

Praying is simply talking to God.

If you have read this and would like to ask Jesus to come into your life just call on the Lord in repentance, faith, and surrender, using these or similar words of your own; and Jesus will become your Savior and Lord.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer, you have just made the most important decision of your life and you can be assured that He heard your prayer.

The next step would be for you to find a Bible believing and Bible teaching church and talk with the pastor and let him know of your decision and that you want to be baptized and become a member of the church.  The church is to a new Christian what the home and family are to a baby.  Baptism does not save you but it is showing obedience to God.

You will want to constantly pray seeking after God's guidance in all you do and you need to study the Bible daily to be fed spiritually.

If you prayed asking Jesus to come into your heart we would love to hear from you.  Please email us at info@2talk42.com or call us at 318-547-7701 or 318-537-2214.  Also if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

If you still did not pray asking Jesus to be your Savior and Lord please know that God loves you very much!  There is nothing you can do that can make Him stop loving you.  He is waiting for you to come to Him...
